Due to staggered endings and extended bidding, auctions rarely end completely at the scheduled end time.Ī4 – This auction also features MAXIMUM BIDDING. is the first time the system will attempt to close lots. If we say an auction closes at 12:30 p.m. This means that our system will only attempt to close a certain number of lots at one time. In this case, ALL OR MULTIPLE lots are extended if a bid is placed in the last three minutes of the auction.Ī3 – Our auctions feature STAGGERED ENDINGS. There are occasions when we use racehorse style bidding in an auction. Extending the end time for an item does not change the end time of the following item, so lots may end out of sequence. If you are unsure how much time is left to bid on an item, you can check the countdown timer for the lot you are interested in. Once the timer runs out, the lot will close. If a bid is then placed at 12:32, that lot will extend until 12:36. Example: If you are bidding on a lot that closes at 12:30 and you place a bid at 12:29, that lot will extend until 12:33. Any lot not bid on in the last three minutes will close as scheduled. This only affects lots with last minute bids. That lot will remain open until there are no bids on that item during the extended time period. ![]() Bidding will extend on a lot for THREE minutes past the closing time if a bid has been placed on that lot within the last THREE minutes of the auction.
